Public Participation

Non-agenda items: no individual presentation shall be for more than three (3) minutes and the total time for this purpose shall not exceed fifteen (15) minutes.  Ordinarily, board members will not respond to presentations and no action can be taken.  However, the board may give direction to staff following a presentation.

Instructional Coaching

Crystal Tanaka gave a presentation on Instructional Coaching.

Reports

Director of Educational Services & Innovation Report

Mr. Howell presented the enrollment and attendance reports.  He also spoke about his new role as Director of Educational Services and how that role is developing.  Mrs. Pannu spoke about Salida campus noting that sports, including coed soccer and girls volleyball, are back on Salida campus.  Mr. Howell recognized the many successes on both Modesto and Homeschool campuses as well.

Chief Operating Officer's Report

Mrs. Meeks spoke about having dedicated time on both campuses for the first time.  She is in Salida 2 days a week and is enjoying the interaction with Salida Staff and being able to be there in person to assist them.  She also talked about the Williams Team having been on both campuses for facilities review.  There are a few minor things we need to fix, but we still have some of the highest marks for facilities.  Curriculum walk through has happened on both campuses as well.   

Superintendent/CEO's Report

Mr. Anderson talked about the new formatting of reports.  He spoke about the beginning NWEA testing and let the board know that CAASP results will be available in September or October.   He also announced that the Superintendents Campaign this year is the Advantage of Happiness.

Board Member Reports

Jeremy Coe- spent a few days on Salida campus and is planning on visiting Modesto campus soon.  He enjoyed the assembly.  He has also met with Tom for 1:1 as well as met the Superintendent of Modesto Christian.
